If the present brings no clues, maybe the past or our childhood will give us a start point. Even movies or art works can inspire. What do these memories or images awake in your mind? Allow time for dreaming.

The answers are in each one of us.

I’ve been extremely confused in my past. I was maybe putting too much pressure on myself. The answers were inside me all along; but it did take time to see them. I remember keeping it all very simple, sticking to simple things like music, observing people in the streets, reading a lot, enjoying nature. Some things do click on you.

The one element that was constant in me was faith in my mind and spirit, as well as in the infinite intelligence of the universal mind of which we’re a part of; I knew I would find my place in life, just like everybody else.

Sorry but this post does not help those who are comfused about their path in life at all.
Take these 2 questions for example:
Which activities bring you pleasure and make you forget that time exists?
What would bring happiness into your life if you could dedicate your life to it? Which activity would make you wake up with a smile on your face everyday?
The problem that I haev wtih finding joy in my life is that I don't knwo the answers to these questions.

What can you do that is so easy for you but causes other people to ask for help? What comes naturally to you?

The whole reason I look for tips in posts like this one is because I don't know the answer to the above question. I guess this post is a good start but it certainly isn't a problem-solver. I feel like this is the quivalent to having a problem like a car that wont start or a broken system of some sort. These questions are the same as asking "What would I like the car to be able to do after I fix it?" The answer is obvious, you want the car to be able to start and drive correctly. The question doesn't address the how at all.

you state in the begining that getting to know yourself is key. In order to answer these questions you must already have a good idea of who you are. If you dont know who you are and what makes you tick, you can't answer these questions.
